Our First Texas Christmas

After going back to Montana for the last 5 years, we decided to stay at home this year. The comfort of established traditions was missing but the excitement of forming our own was definitely there as well.

A few of our traditions in the making:
-- Get the tree the Monday after Thanksgiving, on the way home get 7-Eleven hot chocolate and then go home and decorate the tree. This is one we have already done for a few years.
-- The Living Christmas in Burnet. Think Plymouth Plantations but Bethlehem. The Church of Christ does this every year in Burnet and it is awesome. Grandma went this us this year.
-- A train ride on "Thomas". As far as Sy is concerned no engines exist that aren't either Thomas or one of his friends.
-- Read Luke 2 and 'Twas the Night Before Christmas on Christmas Eve

Here are a few pictures from Christmas:

The who-hash and roast beast

'Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house.....

Their stockings were hung by the chimney with care...

All toys are Daddy's toys...

What do you think Sy got from Santa? One guess, only one.
