thanksgiving...in a nutshell

because i have the "blog lazies" right now (yes, i just coined that phrase all on my own), i am going to quickly cover thanksgiving because it was just too wonderful to not mention. we were lucky enough to be able to travel to fort collins, CO and spend the holiday at the home of craig's sister, kelly. there we spent time with her and her husband and their 4 remarkably well behaved and helpful children, as well as craig's parents and youngest brother, kurt, who was accompanied by his betrothed, sarah. got it? we stayed at their beautiful home which just happens to be right on a lake---a little holiday paradise. there was lots of movie going, book reading, kids' crafts making, cousin bonding, lakeside walks, train and lego playing, cookie decorating, and of course, a whole lotta cookin' going on. our dinner was delicious and we had a wonderful time. alas, the highlights for me included lots of sleeping in (thank you, craig) and a gratuitous amount of time spent with my husband. or maybe the thai dinner that kelly and i went to all on our own while our fabulous husbands took the kids out for hours on end. it's a toss up.

here are some photos...enjoy. thanks to the thompsons for a wonderful holiday.

Ft. Collins!!!?? You went to my most beloved hometown! We wanted to go there this year but Dave's mean boss said someone had to stay and work. Boohoo. I truly believe there is something magical about Ft. Collins and would totally move there in a heartbeat.

How long has Craig's sister lived there? Where in Ft. Fun are they?

I am glad you had such a fabulous time.

Wow - great house and great pics! And even though I was in the seventh circle of hell (aka Tulsa) I'm wondering why you didn't give a heads up that you were all of 45 minutes away from me? Had I been in town, I would have driven up for a quick hello! Sorry we missed each other...

WOW. Wow, wow, wow. Sounds like a heavenly trip - I love that Craig let you sleep in, spend time away from the boys, and that you and he spend lots of time together. We just had Ben home for an ENTIRE Saturday, it was so wierd, but fabulous!
