how i spent my 33rd birthday...

in order to fully experience my birthday you must push play and listen to who serenaded me all day----literally----from 8 am until i left for dinner at 8 pm. i am completely obsessed.

then you need to imagine the warm scent of this awesome candle (a christmas gift from my sister). its wick is made from a wood chip and it sounds like a crackling fire while it burns.

i started out the day by opening some gifts...

and craig and the boys gave me this beautiful pillow

and these awesome flowers

i spent the rest of the day watching my boys do this (celebrating october, according to sy)

while i tried to recreate a cookie recipe from my favorite american fork bakery.
they were delicious!

i talked to friends and family, read happy birthday emails, and capped the night off with a delicious dinner at PF Changs with craig, who gave me a card that looked like this...

and when i opened it, it said this...

shhh...

Happy Birthday Anne! Sounds like it was a great day. My parents love the Flour Girls & Dough Boys bakery too. Their mint brownies are my dad's favorite.

Gah! Did I really miss your birthday? Shame on me for missing it, and shame on you for not telling me! I now owe you....

You are my favorite person, Anne.
I love your sense of style.
You have a joie de vivre that the French would envy.
You are in my happy place.
Happy belated birthday, Anne dear. 33 is THE lucky number. It's a good year for you!
